I’ve never participated in a major collaboration launch because the location of my school made it difficult. Finally, I have been able to indulge in one of these amazing collaborations. About a week ago the Alexander Wang x H&M collection hit the stores. My best friend Ashley and I stood outside in the chilly rain to get our hands on the collection. The line or the wait wasn’t bad at all.
First off I’d like to say that the collection was pleasing to the eye, yet a little painful for the wallets. The collection was made with quality materials, which was awesome considering the prices. However, some of the materials weren’t exactly flattering for most body types. The products that were made out of scuba material definitely were not flattering.
I managed to pick up this black “sweater”, which is actually more like a shirt. I loved the detail throughout the shirt and the combination of the fabric with mesh. It’s such a great piece; I’ll definitely get a lot of use from it. One thing I can say about the collection is the pieces run a little larger. I managed to pick up an extra-small when I’m usually a small/medium in tops. This top is lovely and I cannot wait to style it when it gets a bit warmer out. Below are some photos of the shirt and the items it came with. What pieces were you able to snag and what are your thoughts of the collection? Feel free to show me via social media. Zara had one of their annual sales and I really wanted to purchase this leaf blazer I’ve been eyeing out. After walking around the store digging for gems I picked up a hefty stack of clothes. Luckily I managed to only pick two great items that were out of my comfort zone: the leaf blazer and a beautiful orange dress. I thought these two pieces were perfect to bring some color into my wardrobe.
I also picked up a pair of leopard slip on sneakers from Forever 21. These leopard slip on sneakers are really trendy right now and look amazing with boyfriend jeans and all black looks, so it definitely was an item I wanted to purchase. I was eyeing the ones at Steve Madden, but I didn’t want to pay the price when there are tons of cheap dupes. I’m pretty satisfied with them, since they’re temporary I don’t really mind some of the “cheap” qualities that came with the price.
First and foremost sorry for the lack of posts. I’ve been extremely busy with my internship and adjusting from graduation. I thought to kick off the summer season with something new. I decided to share a mini haul with you guys. Please let me know if you like this type of post and I will share more beauty and fashion hauls.
To start off, I only picked up three things. Since I graduated college I’ve been purchasing pieces that will last a while and will be of use to me. Zara is having an amazing sale and I’m not sure when it ends. So make sure to head to the closest store or shop online. Anyway, I picked up a pair of sweatpants. I’ve wanted to add more “stylish and chic” sweatpants to my wardrobe and I thought these were the perfect ones. The grey velour trousers are light grey and have black detail make these trousers super easy to wear. Originally these sweatpants were $35 and I got them on sale for $19.99!
Sweatpants from Zara
I then head to H&M, they were also having a little sale… Not as great as Zara’s obviously. I picked up two things from H&M and I can say that I am pretty pleased with them. Unfortunately I cannot find pictures of the items I brought online. I’m assuming they’re pretty old. Anyway, the first piece that caught my eye was a cotton romper that had a delicate lace detail around the v-neck. I thought it was so cute and had to try it on right away. The shape of the romper isn’t clingy, it has just the right amount of give and looks very flattering. I purchased that piece for $17.95. The next piece I purchased were the perfect pair of loose fitting trousers. Even though they’re dry clean only, they are beautiful and should be apart of everyone’s wardrobe. I picked these gems up for $24.99, which is a bargain in my eyes.
That’s all for my mini haul. I hope you find some inspiration and like this type of post. Again, if you do like and if you have any suggestions of other posts you’d like to see leave a comment below!
